International Cobalt Resources is building a valuable position in the burgeoning cobalt lithium-ion market and has fortuitously secured the exclusive rights to acquire highly sort after cobalt, nickel and gold projects in the renowned Cobalt & Nickel districts of Canada, with a number of the tenements located within close proximity of the town of Cobalt, Ontario.
ICR acquired the Blue Mac Project from CBLT Inc (TSXV:CBLT) a Canadian company that specialises in mineral exploration. The Blue Mac property has the potential to host a significant open pit deposit of quartz, cobalt and gold. Located south of Falconbridge in Sudbury Ontario, Blue Mac is comprised of 31 exploration licenses in the world’s premiere nickel-sulphide and cobalt region. The Blue Mac Project has a combined area of 5.26km2 and includes a newly discovered quartz vein which has returned significant results for cobalt and gold deposits. Over the next two years, ICR will conduct an exploration program to include a compilation of historic data, targeted drill sampling and the detailed mapping of confirmed deposits in preparation for future activities.
ICR has the exclusive option to acquire the Bambino Project tenements from renowned geologist Marty Huber of Breakaway Exploration. Located northeast of Ville-Marie Quebec, the Bambino Project includes 34 exploration licenses over a combined area of 19.61km2. Bambino is adjacent to other notable nickel and copper projects which include deposits of Platinum Group Elements (PGE) and cobalt. This area represents a segment of the Belleterre-Angliers Greenstone (BAG) belt. BAG has several drill proven Gabbro Sills, with an 80% strike rate containing intersections of nickel and copper. Production records for one Gabbro Sill outlined that over AU$100,000,000 of metal was extracted within 24 months. ICR has planned a comprehensive exploration program within this area, which will include the targeted sampling and mapping of deposits in preparation for future activities.
ICR acquired the Dickson Project in June 2018 from CBLT Inc (TSXV:CBLT), a Canadian company that specialises in mineral exploration. The Dickson Project is located east of Cobalt Ontario, the premier cobalt mining region of Canada. The Dickson Project comprises of 11 exploration licenses over a combined area of 2.42km2. There are multiple occurrences of quartz cobalt veins within the surrounding area, with one occurring directly through the Dickson tenements. ICR will conduct a comprehensive exploration program to include targeted drill sampling and mapping of confirmed deposits in preparation for future activities.
